Key Masters: 4 Portable Secure Hard Drives
by Michael Lasky
The Rocsafe MX sports only USB 2.0, which makes this drive somewhat of a slowpoke when compared to other
drives outfitted with USB 3.0. Moving a 4GB file from a PC took over nine minutes. USB 3.0 typically delivers the
same file in 50 to 70 seconds. |

9 Greatest Videos of CES 2012
by Fritz Nelson
3. No, this isn't a hard drive that can swim. It's a secure hard drive, meant for those situations that cannot withstand misplacement or loss. There are no visible screws or entry points for gaining easy access to the actual disk drive. But the Rocsafe's most notable features are the numeric keypad on its glassy surface and a smartcard slot. Without an authorized smartcard and self-selected PIN code, the drive cannot be mounted by a PC or Mac. See the demonstration in our video below. Watch video |

Five CES Gadgets for Small Businesses
by Donna Fuscaldo
Amphibious 7X http://www.rocstor.com/products/amphibious-7x.html
Protecting sensitive data is critical for every small business. RocStor
claims to take security to the next level with its Amphibious 7X. In addition
to built-in encryption, the hardware uses a smartcard and a keypad on the
device letting you key in your pin directly to the device. This prevents
someone from stealing your keystrokes and getting access to the data.
On top of all that, the Amphibious is ruggedized and fits in your pocket.
The device will be available in the first quarter, and according to CNET, will
cost around $350. |

Rocstor Amphibious portable drive: You can't overdo data security
by Dong Ngo
Rocstor announced at CES 2012 what it considers the world's most secure yet user-friendly storage device: the Amphibious.
The Rocstor Amphibious drive comes with two FireWire 800 ports and one USB 2.0 port. It doesn't support USB 3.0, unfortunately. This is a superrugged portable external drive, and is made out of aircraft grade aluminum alloy. Yet it's still compact and bus-powered, meaning you won't have to carry a separate power adapter with it. And all that is still the least interesting thing about the drive.
